| Popis: | Drawing on the study of an anti-fatphobia hashtag on X (formerly Twitter) and using a hybrid approach combining online ethnography, quantitative analysis and network analysis, this article examines the various facets of building and deploying online activism. The concept of work is used to describe how this type of mobilization takes shape and evolves in the sociotechnical space of the X platform. The paper describes the threefold work required for this type of online mobilization of minority social groups to exist: activist work to legitimize the movement, digital work to make content visible, and emotional work to protect activists. |
