Popis:	Eight species, spread over six subfamilies of family Erebidae, Ischyja hagenii (Snellen, 1885), Ophisma pallescens (Walker, [1863] 1864), Serrodes caesia Warren, 1915, Simplicia bimarginata (Walker, [1863], 1864), Diomea fasciata (Leech, 1900), Platyja acerces (Prout, 1928), Tamba delicata Prout, 1932, and Tiruvaca hollowayi Kobes, 1988 are reported for the first time from India. All the newly reported species are distributed in northeastern India. For each of the newly reported species: first and latest reference, diagnosis, wing length, remarks, material examined and distribution is given whereas, first reference and name of the type species is provided for the respective genus.
