Popis: The paper systematizes some information about both Arrigo Barnabé’s and Itamar Assumpção’s artistic career. The paper analyses, as well, the forms of two compositions: “Clara Crocodilo” (Arrigo Barnabé/ Mario Lucio Cortes), recorded in 1980 on the Clara Crocodilo album; and “Nego Dito” (Itamar Assumpção), recorded in 1981 on the Beleléu, Leléu, Eu album. In the interdisciplinary perspective that one takes, the notion of form refers to the analysis of the elements that structure each composition and to the interpretation of the meaning of that structure in the light of Brazil’s historical process. Thus, the sound materials that constitute each recording and the ways these materials are articulated are related to the Brazilian history in the moving from the 1970s to the 1980s.
