Solid fuels are widely used in China and increase the concentrations of indoor air pollutants. Nevertheless, there is limited longitudinal evidence linking solid fuel use and Gastrointestinal (GI) and liver diseases. This study aimed to prospectively investigate the association between household solid fuel use and the risk of GI and liver diseases in middle aged and elderly adults. This work was based on the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS). Longitudinal data incorporate with cross-sectional data were analyzed.
