Background. The subject of the work is the development of institutional features and the implementation of institutional functions of social personnel protection in Russian enterprises and organizations in various activity fields. The purpose of the research is to determine the essence, main directions and institutional features of social protection of personnel of organizations, in particular, in the field of trade and distribution of medical (orthopedic) equipment. Materials and methods. Theoretical research methods – systemic and institutional approaches. The practical method is a questionnaire survey of the staff of the Network of orthopedic salons “Avionika” in Penza, according to a representative sample. Results. There are three types of states of social protection of personnel in different organizations according to the characteristics of material costs, types of social protection, staff awareness of their social protection, the effectiveness of social protection measures, and the socio-economic development of the industry. Using the example of the Network of orthopedic salons “Avionika”, it is revealed that the system of social protection of personnel in the field of trade and distribution of orthopedic equipment acquires institutional features and begins to perform institutional functions. But this requires regulation in the main areas of development, which contains methods and means of additional social protection: creating conditions for on-the-job training on a targeted basis in certain areas and forms, ensuring guarantees of career growth. The obtained results and recommendations can be applied to the development of the system of social protection of personnel of organizations in the field of trade in medical equipment and some others. Conclusions. The system of social personnel protection should be attributed to two groups of institutions – socioorganizational (trade unions), and socio-normative (collective agreements). But the forms of social protection of the organization’s personnel are not yet effective enough, and are mainly reduced to material assistance in cases of need. It is necessary to strengthen institutional (legal, organizational, socio-economic) measures to give the social protection of personnel an increased status in the management of the organization. |
