Abstract We present here the first confirmed record of the genus Gloeotaenium in Brazil. The representative species (Gloeotaenium loitlesbergianum) was collected in a stream from Curaçá, northern Bahia state, Brazil. We provide a description of the species, illustrations, and taxonomic notes. |
