Popis: Objectives In Poland, cyclical phenomena such as fires and floods are very frequent, which causes the mobilization of state services and institutions each time. The activities that usually need to be performed are very dynamic because they involve incredible time pressure. Unmanned aerial vehicles are adapted both to prevent, monitor and combat threats arising from critical infrastructure. The main research problem was formulated in the form of a question: what functionalities of the BSP system are useful for the tasks performed by services and institutions responsible for combating threats arising from critical infrastructure? Material and methods Exoercise interview questionnaire, observation, own experience. Results As the research and our own observations show, it can be concluded that the unmanned aviation system plays an important role in the environmental security system. Drones, through their many functionalities, are able to monitor environmental hazards and effectively counter them. Conclusions Research on the application of BSP in environmental protection should be continued. It is advisable to constantly modernize, develop and implement BSP in the structures of services and institutions responsible for environmental protection in Poland. An extremely important aspect is also the implementation of unmanned systems by services such as the Police, Border Guard or State Fire Service. Joint exchange of information by air between the various services would facilitate coordination of tasks related to environmental protection.
