Popis: Macrophage activation is synergistically controlled by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and interferon-γ (IFN-γ). Here the authors show that IFN-γ promotes macrophage activation not only by activating STAT1-dependent genes, but also by suppressing STAT3-dependent negative feedback regulation downstream of LPS signaling.
