Popis: The use of mobile devices as means and media for communication on social network is rapidly changing the relationship between art institutions and audience. Through new conversational and sharing practices (Gunthert 2015), visitors have been redefining the subjective and intersubjective value of experiences connected to artworks and exhibition spaces. My proposal investigates audience-bricoleur’s (Casetti 2015) museum experiences starting from the analysis of images on the visual social network Instagram. Posts are collected and analysed through a Digital Humanities approach that combines methodologies both from Visual Culture Studies and Social Research. The combined interpretation of visual and textual content suggests new institutional and spectatorial storytelling practices that underpin the renewed theoretical interest about post-photography issues (Fontcuberta 2017). Following the visual tracks whereby visitors-users relate themselves on (and to) the fragmented discourse about museum experiences, it is possible to comprehend reproduction and recontextualization phenomena that reshape the space of the museum, in continuity with the city (Storrie 2006) and immersed in the virtual and potential Internet environment.
