| Popis: | Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is associated with important chronic comorbid diseases. Arterial hypertension (AH) is one of the most frequently occurring comorbidity in COPD. This study was conducted to assess clinical, functional and pathophysiological characteristics in patients with co-existing COPD and AH and in COPD and hypertensive patients. Marked differences have been found among groups. These results suggest that there is a subset of COPD patients with comorbid AH who may represent a distinct phenotype. |
