Ten dogs comprised 5 males and females, each of about 8 ± 2 months and weighed 10 ± 0.5 kg were administered piroxicam, after one month the dogs were administered piroxicam and diminazene aceturate at different thigh muscles. Single dose was administered to avoid toxicity. Blood samples were collected at 0, 0.08, 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 6.0, 8.0, 10, 12, 24, 48, 72 and 96 h for plasma analysis of piroxicam.
