Influence of Fin Deflection Angle on Nonlinear Dynamic of Supercavitating Vehicle

Popis: Supercavitation technology can greatly improve the speed of underwater vehicle. The fin is an important controller of the vehicle, and the motion characteristics of the vehicle are greatly influenced by the fin deflection angle. In this paper, the parameter ranges of cavitation number and fin deflection angle that can make the vehicle move stably are presented by distribution diagram of equilibrium points. Through bifurcation analysis, the nonlinear physical phenomena of supercavitating vehicle with different fin deflection angle control gains are studied. Finally, a bifurcation control method is proposed, this method delays the Hopf bifurcation by adjusting the fin deflection angle. So that the nonlinear vibration and shock of the vehicle could be suppressed, and the stable movement is achieved.
