Popis: The present article pretends to bring up the discussion on canon debates concerning women writer's role in specific selections; a discussion yet unexplained. In the River Plate area, women writers lack importance in the generalized canon (manifested in university syllabuses) since their literature does not seem to describe big national themes. The history of Argentinean literature has exclusively given importance to masculine names, but is it possible to think of a River Plate literature where women have an equal presence to that of their male peers? The works of Griselda Gambaro and Marosa di Giorgio are taken as examples, since their singularity offers an entrance passport in their own right.
