Popis: Cartoons are the means of representation used to mobilize the masses and criticize the power and the powerful. Political cartoons, on the other hand, are used to critically visualize the events in political life and convey them to the public. The cartoons preferred in popular geopolitical studies are data tools that present information to the society. In the study, cartoons about the Russia-Ukraine War published in the UK magazine The Week news agency were interpreted. According to their findings; It has been seen that Russia, which is identified with the bear figure, has insufficient military capacity in the Ukraine War and Putin is portrayed as a distant politician. The perception of Ukraine in the cartoons reveals the dramatic dimension of the events in the country: It has been seen that the inhabitants of the country are portrayed as people in trouble and waiting to be rescued, with more realistic representations.
