Popis: FKRP mutations cause muscular dystrophies with varied clinical presentations. The target of FKRP is α-dystroglycan, but here the authors show that FKRP also directs sialylation of fibronectin, a process that is essential for recruitment o collagen to the muscle basement membrane.
