Popis: Solvent impregnated resin (SIR) is one of the most exciting research areas due to huge applications like dye removal, metal ions sensing and removal, a phenolic compound from water, etc. SIR behaves as adsorbers that include both liquid-liquid extraction and ion exchange, making them suitable for a wide range of applications like recovery and liquid-solid separation. SIRs are successfully employed to separate metals in analytical and environmental applications. Transition and lanthanide metal ions are separated by SIRs using the batch method. SIRs interact with dyes and metallic ions through the structure complex. In this review, we documented the synthetic process of SIRs by containing functional groups like Amine, Macro-cyclic, Quinolinol and Organo-phosphorous. Moreover, we discussed the stability of SIRs and applications like removing dyes, metals, and phenolic compounds from the literature.
