Popis: | The article discusses the influence of ideological factors (communist ideas) on the family transformation in Soviet Russia, changes in the size, functions, structure, and legal frameworks of a family. In 1920s, there was an active family reformation, based on both objective factors relating to the modernization of society, and subjective ones. In this sense, the Soviet experience is now seen as a conscious attempt to design social processes in order to implement the concepts of an ideal society of the future. One of the consequences of family reformation in the 1920s was the appearance of its many varieties. Some of them were formed under the influence of idealistic views. The analysis of the early Soviet family is based on the study of a unique source — the materials of the census of CPSU members in 1922. They enabled the author to analyze the structure of party members’ families. The study of the Communist family is inte-resting because party members represented a social group most exposed to the influence of ideological factors. Relying on the situation in the party environment, one can form an idea of the trends, object and depth of changes in family organization of the early Soviet society as a whole. |
