Popis: | This paper presents a study for laterally loaded free head concrete piles using the finite element method (FEM). The finite element mesh is constituted from three-dimensional elements. The pile and soil boundary are defined cylindrically while lateral load is defined as single concentrated load from the top of the pile head. Various types of soil and pile properties are analysed and the load-deformation curves for different types of soils namely, sands and clays are evaluated. |
