Popis: The article is devoted to legal aspects of leasing of sacred land in Attica - the rights and responsibilities of landlords. The object of the lease are temenos, which represent land plots with gardens and business premises owned by the temple. As a result, in the first place, perfomed demos and orgeones. The special duty of the landlords was to guarantee compliance with the legal side of the lease, the protection of the rights of the parties involved in the transaction. Landlords took care of the land in their possession. They had to ensure the timely payment of the special tax - eisphora. The main right was the control over observance of obligations on the part of tenants. In General, based on the study material, we can come to the conclusion that the relationship between the parties to the lease temenos in ancient Attica had a sound legal basis.
