Popis: The dinuclear molecule of the title compound, [Mo2(C9H13)2(CO)6] or [Mo(tBuCp)(CO)3]2 where tBu and Cp are tert-butyl and cyclopentadienyl, is centrosymmetric and is characterized by an Mo—Mo bond length of 3.2323 (3) Å. Imposed by inversion symmetry, the tBuCp and the carbonyl ligands are in a transoid arrangement to each other. In the crystal, intermolecular C—H...O contacts lead to the formation of layers parallel to the bc plane.
