Popis: | Industry is one of the vital sectors on which the economy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is based. It includes industries related to oil production and refining, petrochemicals, minerals and war industries, in addition to cement, construction, equipment, and food industries, among others. Industry in Saudi Arabia began with the succession of oil discoveries in the thirties of the twentieth century AD, and the establishment of Aramco, and before that it was limited to traditional crafts and handicrafts. The era of King Fahd bin Abdulaziz witnessed a major industrial development, as a result of the five-year plans developed by the Saudi Ministry of Planning. |
