| Popis: | The article focuses on one of the crucial aspects that differentiates Italian and Finnish: the way to express definiteness and indefiniteness. Italian is a typical article-language whereas Finnish has no such means to convey definiteness or indefiniteness but other linguistic strategies can be optionally used. After presenting the main characteristics of Italian and Finnish we will discuss which can be the challenges in translation and for language learners. |
