| Popis: | Through an analysis of the vocabulary used by Latin and Greek authors to describe the decision process at work in the Roman Senate, key notions of the political culture shared by the elite of the time can be investigated. Among them, the sententia reveals a central element, shedding light upon the function of the senator and the Senate itself from an anthropological point of view, instead of the usual institutional one. |
