Popis: Tau aggregates are associated with several neurodegenerative disorders. In this work, I. Saha and colleagues show that valosin-containing protein (VCP) recruited to Tau fibrils disaggregates them. However, this process comes at a cost: it generates seeding-active Tau species as byproduct.
