Popis: INTRODUCTION: The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between emotional labour behavior and psychological symptoms among nurses. METHODS: The study was carried out with 171 nurses who met the inclusion criteria and were working in a hospital in the Samsun Province between 20.09.2017-14.01.2019. The data were collected using 'Nurse Introductory Information Form', 'Emotional Labor Behavior Scale of Nurses' and 'SCL-90-R Psychological Symptom Check Scale' created by the researcher in accordance with the literature. Descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation test were used for analyzing data. RESULTS: It was found that 90.6% of the nurses participating in the study consisted of women, 78.9% of them had bachelor's degree, 77.2% of them were working in shifts, 31.6% of them were working at intensive care units. It was found that 50.9% of the nurses were satisfied with nursing and 76% of them were satisfied with the social relations in the institution where they worked. In the research study, it was determined that there was no significant relationship between emotional labor behavior and psychological symptoms in nurses (p>.05).
