Talus fractures often a result of higher energy trauma. The incidence is rare and only 25% of talus fractures involve the talar body.1 We present a case of a 70-year old female who suffered multiple fractures of the ankle and foot, most noticeable a partial displaced talar body fracture in the sagittal plane combined with an intraarticular tibia fracture, resembling a logsplitter-like injury. To our knowledge, the combination of this specific fracture dislocation configuration has not been previously described in the current literature. |
