Abstract The aim of this study was to analyze the 5-year natural course of frailty status assessed with the Kihon Checklist (KCL) and the risk factors of transition towards frailty in community-dwelling older adults. We used the data from the postal KCL survey conducted by the municipal government between 2011 and 2016.
