Popis: Energy conversion is a fundamental process that finds application in diverse domains, including renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, and industrial power systems. The selection of an appropriate energy conversion topology is pivotal in optimizing system performance, efficiency, and reliability. This review paper presents a comprehensive overview of energy conversion topologies employed in wind energy conversion systems, as well as their applicability in various other domains. The paper begins by elucidating the underlying principles and requirements of energy conversion systems, with a specific emphasis on the crucial role played by Maximum Power Point Tracking in achieving efficient energy harvesting. Furthermore, the paper provides an in-depth analysis of commonly utilized energy conversion topologies. In addition, the review showcases recent advancements and emerging trends in energy conversion topologies, such as multi-level converters, matrix converters, and resonant converters.
