Popis: Violence and discrimination against women merits a particular reflection from the United Nations Rules for the treatment of female prisoners and non-custodial measures for female offenders, known as the Bangkok Rules, becoming the central object of this review, with the intention of presenting a current vision of the actions that Ecuador must undertake to guarantee its rights. The international document contains the compendium of standards that add to the central purpose of protecting these people in a state of vulnerability. The review is vital due to the low importance given to the phenomenon of the woman victimizer, but not the woman victim, who has focused all efforts of scientific production and state policies, without noticing as factors determinants of crime violence and discrimination
