Popis: | The article describes the main stages of the development and improvement of antisecretory therapy, from antacids to modern proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). It is concluded that at present the main drugs for the treatment of acid-related diseases are PPIs, which are conditionally divided into drugs of I and II generation. II generation drugs are more effective and safe, as they are less dependent on CYP2C19 polymorphism and have the least potential for side effects and drug-drug interactions. The safest PPI for the long-term treatment of acid-related diseases, especially if it is necessary to administer other drugs, is pantoprazole. |
