Dengue in Ecuador was presented with specific symptoms, but lately there has been a different clinic situation on Dengue with alarming signs and severe Dengue. The aim for this research was to clinically characterize these cases from 27 April to 28 June 2014, admitted to the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Guayaquil. Through a descriptive, observational study, the information studied was collected throughout the SIVE, medical records, form 008 and laboratory results performed on admission. The results show that 51% of patients go for medical attention between the fourth and sixth day after starting their clinical situation; presenting the following symptoms: fever accompanied by abdominal pain, joint pain, headache and myalgia. Laboratory tests show hemo-concentration and thrombocytopenia, which coincides with the cases definition for DCSA and DG. The hypothesis could not be confirmed since it is observed in adults clinical symptoms that is defined in the medical literature as the "Guide and treatment of Dengue in the Americas", that is why it is recommended continuous hospital training about case treatment. |
