Popis: | The aim of this paper is to analyze the political action in the council of Ávila on the basis on the study of the first draft of the municipal minutes (1497-1500). The most important municipal offices (the regidurías) are crossed by the contradiction between the public responsibilities and the particular interest of their occupants. The internal differentiation of the ruling elite is a key aspect that reveals this documentation in which the conflict claims to be expulsed. |
