Popis: The article discusses the importance and role of forecasting activities in vocational teacher education as a factor in its development; reveals the main provisions of methods of prognostic studies examined prediction methods aimed at the study and determination of the future status and prospects of development of vocational teacher education. Prognostic studies vocational teacher education focused on the following objectives: the development of scientific bases of system planning and individual aspects of vocational teacher education; identification of the main implementation forecasts for vocational teacher education. Descriptions of the "method of interrogation", "discussion", "Delphi method", "pedagogical experiment", "modeling", "extrapolation", "Delphi method", "strukturnomorfologicheskogo and graphic-analytical methods" and "the method of substitution." The described methods are focused on obtaining prognostic data to study the features of socio-economic development; focus on selected issues; development of a hierarchy research purposes, and also takes into account the auxiliary conditions, which include statistics, special economic calculations, evaluation of the effectiveness of predictions and more.
