Popis: Objective. To determine the prevalence and distribution of developmental dental anomalies (DDA) in children and adolescents. Material and method. A retrospective cross-sectional study using panoramic radiographs (OPGs) performed for different purposes, from patients aged up to 18 years. After the individual analysis of the radiographs, the prevalence and distribution of DDA were determined according to the topography and the sex of the patients from which the OPGs came. Statistical data processing was performed with the IBM SPSS Statistics 24 program, for p ≤ 0.05. Results. 755 OPGs were analyzed, out of which 43 (5.69%) were found having DDA. The prevalence of DDA, relative to the whole group: 2.91% for hypodontias; 1.58% for supernumerary teeth; 1.05% for radicular dilacerations; 0.13% for localized microdontia. DDA distribution: 51.16% hypodontias; 27.90% supernumerary teeth; 2.32% microdontia, 18.60% dilacerations. Conclusions. The prevalence of DDA in the permanent dentition in children and adolescents, estimated only from the orthopantomographic point of view, was 5.69%.
