Popis: This work aims to study the Work-Health relationship in the mines of Santa Rosalia during the Porfirian era. A town that was formed by the French company “El Boleo” in line with the development of copper exploitation. While the most advanced technology — at that time in the western world — was applied, the town lacked more indispensable sanitary infrastructure, as were the introduction of drinkable water and drainage. That lead to a permanent unhealthy situation that along with the difficult working conditions brought about various illnesses that later caused high mortality rates.
