Popis: How and when the Newtonian science came and won his intellectual battles in Scotland, during the Eighteenth century? This case-study try to answer with an historical research about the relationships between Newton's science and Enlightenment Scottish culture, also rethinking the works of so many protagonists of the academic life, in the period 1680-1800: a true geography of the Newtonian scientific and philosophical legacy, during a central century for the developments of the European modern thought, also in the Continent.
