Popis: | The peer-reviewed monograph contains materials from pre-revolutionary collections stored in the Tobolsk Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve, archaeological research materials by A.P. Zykov in 1988 and 1993, an album of illustrations of findings from the collection of Tobolsk local lore artist M.S. Znamensky. The main part of the monograph is written by А.P. Zykov, who conducted a rigorous analysis of numerous categories of equipment found on the monument. However, according to the author of the review, the collision written in the chapter concerning the history of study of the monument was invented by A.P. Zykov, not confirmed by any documentary fact. Due to the lack of a thoroughly written historiography, there is no generalizing chapter in reviewed scientific publication devoted to the issues of chronology of the monument, ethnic and cultural constructions, material and spiritual culture of the Siberian Tatars. |
