Acute amiodarone pulmonary toxicity in a patient with acute anterior wall myocardial infarction and ventricular tachycardia

Popis:	Acute amiodarone pulmonary toxicity is a rare cause of acute respiratory distress in intensive care units. A 52-year-old man developed acute respiratory distress following intravenous amiodarone administration for refractory ventricular tachycardia. His chest X-ray and high resolution computed tomography-scans showed bilateral infiltrates with peripheral sparing. Patient improved following withdrawal of amiodarone and steroid therapy.
