This contribution aims at focusing on the idea of chapter in TV series, thus considering the various expressions of each episode, from the script to the final version on DVD support. This attempt needs a reflexion on the most adequate model to describe an audio-visual narration: the usual option—epic vs drama—seems to be overcome by a third element, i.e. plastic dimension. This contribution also stresses the crucial position of the title in distinguishing episodes and chapters. |
