Popis: The article concerns a topical issue of teaching senior school students textual activity at the lessons of Russian (as a native language) using conceptual analysis of the text as a teaching method. In Philology the aim of the conceptual analysis of the text is to single out the key concepts of the text and to determine the language units which represent these concepts. As a teaching method conceptual analysis of the text is a way to organize students’ work with a text. It presupposes that while reading the suggested text students single out the language units that represent the national linguocultural concepts (linguoconcepts) in the text, and they also analyze the mental fields of the concepts (sphere of concepts).Conceptual analysis of the text at the lessons of Russian includes analysis of the text vocabulary, finding the words of one semantic or associative group in the text and the key words that represent the concepts; dictionary research; analyzing the means of lexical representation of linguoconcepts in the text; analyzing the sphere of concepts in the text: finding concepts, analyzing their semantic relations (interconnection, incorporation, overlapping, cause-and-effect relations, etc.); studying the ways national history and culture are reflected in the concept and the way the concept functions in the national consciousness. The method of conceptual analysis of the text allows students to realize the connection between the language and the culture, to learn to see variety of meanings in a lexical unit, to understand emotional and evaluative information in the text. This method also shapes students’ dialogical consciousness and emotional intelligence. As a result their skills in text interpretation and text production improve. The authors provide the examples of tasks based on the method of conceptual analysis of the text. The tasks can be used at the lessons of Russian as a native language at senior high school.
