Popis:	The topic of this paper is the study of integral local development planning, since the methods of local development planning are the key holder and indicator of planning efficiency. The research deals with the issue of how to constitute integral planning of the development of cities so that its application is effective in practice, thus proving the theoretical advantages of integral planning in relation to the partial one. The objective of the paper is to present disadvantages and advantages of the methods that are most often used in development planning with the intention to contribute to more efficient development of local communities (cities and municipalities).
