Popis: The article emphasizes the need to take into account the long-term negative consequences of unacceptably large water capacity of the Ukrainian economy with the construction of a large number of reservoirs and ponds, which caused the support of river flow and regional disruption of the equilibrium interaction of surface and underground flow. The consequence of this was the regional intensification of land flooding and overwetting, especially within the boundaries of industrial and urban agglomerations, mining areas, zones of reservoirs influence, irrigation arrays. Moreover, it is the flooding and overwetting of soils that become the trigger for the activation of dangerous changes in engineering and geological conditions, primarily destructive landslides, karst, drawdown and subsidence. Therefore, when developing measures to protect critical infrastructure objects, as well as plans and projects for their post-war restoration, it is necessary to take into account the engineering and geological threats of technogenic intensification of the destructive impact of dangerous exogenous geological processes. First of all, it is necessary to take into account: flooding and overwetting of soils, karst, landslides, subsidence. Since the stability of the main structures directly depends on ensuring the stability of subsoil, which “holds” the foundations of structures. The results of the GIS analysis of main engineering and geological threats are given. It is shown that areas of high threat level are primarily concentrated in the partially occupied southern and eastern regions of Ukraine covered by active hostilities. This circumstance needs to be reflected in the post-war critical infrastructure objects recovery programs and the allocation of special funding for in-depth engineering and geological research.
