Popis: Despite being highly toxic, carbon monoxide (CO) is also essential as an intracellular signalling molecule, but CO-dependent signalling is poorly understood. Here, authors employ spectroscopic and electrophysiology methods and find that CO activates KATP channels via SUR2A, a heme-regulated receptor.
