Significance of risk factors in the prevention of postpartum venous thromboembolic disease

| Popis: | Venous thromboembolism is a rare complication of the postpartum period. However, it holds a stable position in the maternal mortality pattern throughout the world, classified as the so-called group of beyond control causes. We have conducted a retrospective analysis of labour in puerperas, who were admitted to the Vascular Surgery Department of Inozemtsev State Clinical Hospital with venous thromboembolic complications in the period from 2015 to 2017. The analysis identified the most significant risk factors for postpartum venous thrombotic complications. These risk factors should be carefully examined to choose a thromboprophylaxis method in the postpartum period. |
