Popis: | Given the changes that Spanish society has undergone in the last forty years, and how the concept of the family has also evolved, the article discusses the relationship between ways of life (ways of living) and housing – a discussion that is ever-present in contemporary architectural debates. Houses are our world, and they reveal both the way we are as well as our way of understanding, living and acting in the world. To illustrate these relationships, a brief review of some of its landmarks is analysed: the Villa Rotonda, the Hôtel Tassel and the double housing of Le Corbusier in Weissenhofsiedlungen. These discussions will then lead us to the case study, that of an isolated block of 15 social houses next to the Albacete’s silo, designed by the architect Rosana Pérez González. |
