| Popis: | Hypothyroidism is a common comorbidity that on acute presentation is often overlooked. It can be an easily managed condition; however non-compliance can have severe consequences. In the presented case it was requirement for emergency surgery that resulted in stoma formation. This case is a first example of the need to include patient’s decision making process with regards to medication adherence in the setting of chronic disease. |
