Popis: According to the Job Demands-Resources model, work performance is developed through the balance between job demands and resources. Based on this framework, the present study aimed to test the mediation of productive organizational energy in the relationship of two job resources with work performance, and the moderation of demand perceived at work in the relationship of resources with productive organizational energy. The sample consisted of 361 Brazilian workers, of both sexes. Structural equation modeling showed a direct and positive relationship between job resources and work performance, and indirect analysis showed the mediation of productive organizational energy. Furthermore, the perceived demand at work attenuated the association of resources with energy. It was concluded that workers who have high levels of job resources feel more energized and more productive, bringing advantages to companies that invest in human capital.
