This research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of a cobalt-chromium-molybdenum (Co-Cr-Mo) alloy prepared using the powder metallurgy technique, followed by coating the alloy with different ratios of Yttrium Stabilized Zirconium (YSZ) and Titania TiO2 using the plasma spray method. The objective is to evaluate the suitability of the coated alloy as a biomedical implant in the human body. The coated samples were subjected to XRD (X-ray diffraction), SEM (scanning electron microscopy), and EDS (energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy) analyses. Additionally, corrosion testing was conducted using Hank's solution, contact angle and surface roughness. |
