The Syrian middle Euphrates valley is an important zone for Neolithic cultural diffusion. But, the area is now transformed by the construction of dams. Landsat and SPOT scenes would be useful tools to provide images of a landscape that will soon disappear and as complementary data for paleoenvironmental analysis. |
