Popis:	This article, based on broad range of new historical sources, focuses on so called «purges» of the Soviet state apparatus, and their impact on everyday life of the Soviet citizens in the 1920-1930s. Author demonstrates contradictory nature and variety of factors on which special «purge commissions» made their decisions, including social origin of the people, their professional and personal characteristics, and others.
